Academic (Mumbos Culture and Society)Edit

Philosophy (Mumbos Political Science) is the rating of a character's general knowledge regarding the politics of the worlds in the Mumbos System. This skill is regarded on a scale of 1-10 and any progression bonus beyond 10 has real in-game merit when observing the complex Mumbitanian does and don’ts of society. For progression bonuses under 10, the character must roll against a Difficulty Roll when trying to recall subjects related to the politics of Mumbos or recall where and how political questions can be answered. Failure can only be rechecked at a Game Master's discretion or if the character receives assistance from someone that has an equal or better progression bonus.

Description: Philosophy (Basic) is a skill used to measure a character's ability to understand and remember basic philosophical concepts such as social theories, political theories, theories regarding reality, and religion. A bonus of 1-5 means that a character is mediocre at remembering or applying the philosophy, whereas a bonus of 6-10 means a character can often remember and/or apply philosophy without much effort and, additionally a character knows how to research concepts he or she does not know. A successful skill check, rolled against a Game Master's difficulty roll, means the philosophical knowledge was effectively applied.

BRPG Philosophy (Congress of Crystaldeep Political Science)Edit

Philosophy (Congress of Crystaldeep Political Science) is the rating of a character's general knowledge regarding the politics of the worlds and systems goverend by the Congress of Crystaldeep in treaties of the same. This skill is regarded on a scale of 1-10 and any progression bonus beyond 10 has no realy in-game merit aside from an extraordinary knowledge of Helis politics. For progression bonuses under 10, the character must roll against a Difficulty Roll when trying to recall subjects related to the politics of Helis or recall where and how political questions can be answered. Failure can only be rechecked at a Game Master's discretion or if the character recieves assistance from someone that has an equal or better progression bonus.

Description: Philosophy (Historical) is a skill used to measure a character's ability to understand and remember past philosophies and philosophers in various cultures. A bonus of 1-5 means that a character is mediocre at remembering or applying the philosophy, whereas a bonus of 6-10 means a character can often remember and/or apply philosophy without much effort and, additionally a character knows how to research concepts he or she does not know. A successful skill check, rolled against a Game Master's difficulty roll, means the philosophical knowledge was effectively applied.

BRPG Philosophy (Hollowstar Principle)Edit

Philosophy (Hollowstar Principle) is the rating of a character's understanding of the Hollowstar Principle and its applications. It is used for other skills and for demonstrating knowledge to another character. Failure can be rechecked only if the character realizes his mistake.

  • Successes: 5 Successes/420 hours of studying
  • Tutoring: 210 hours
  • Schooling: 84 hours
  • Check Against: Difficulty
  • Difficulty Scale: Dependent on action
  • Modifications: Study, tutoring and schooling time required to advance is divided by the character's Philosophy (Basic) skill. Schooling is only available on Hollowstar proper. Tutoring must be performed by a character with more than double the student's Philosophy (Hollowstar Principle) skill.

Philosophy (Kelos System Political Science) is the rating of a character's general knowledge regarding the politics of the worlds in the System. This skill is regarded on a scale of 1-10 and any progression bonus beyond 10 has no realy in-game merit aside from an extraordinary knowledge of Kelos politics. For progression bonuses under 10, the character must roll against a Difficulty Roll when trying to recall subjects related to the politics of Kelos or recall where and how political questions can be answered.
