Quarter Day was founded in 21,898 GST by a segment of the Army of Chronos consigned to a single location for years on end. Although they saw combat, the town survived, and the company was not moved until the war's end. Quarter Day is a small town with a population of only 1,800 people, but it is noteworthy as the home of the Shifters.
