Help:Building Cities
From Basilicus

[edit] Anything is possible
Although Basilicus has (or should have) guidelines for nearly everything, the main thing to remember is that Basilicus is a fictional setting - anything goes, if it is explained properly. The only appropriate opposition to any work on Basilicus is that it was someone else's idea. In reading these guidelines, remember that they are only guidelines, and you are free to create a city of sentient quarks if you can explain how it works.
[edit] Definition of city
A city is an artificial ambient created with the intent of providing housing and services for a great number of people.
[edit] Common features of cities
[edit] Name
How the city is known in the galaxy.
[edit] Location
Where the city is located (Usually a planet, but possibly space stations, asteroids, etc.)
This should be the smallest place that your city is in. If your planet has nations, the location will be the nation; if your nation has states, the location will be the state instead. If you haven't named the nations yet, don't worry about it; just make the planet the location, you can always change it later.
[edit] Economy
A city, no matter how small, needs an inflow of money (eg mining resources, providing services).
This is just a basic build. Changes and additions are necessary.
