The Organization for the Preservation of Genetic Integrity is a business-backed nonprofit advocacy group. Funded by a number of pharmaceutical, bio- and nano-technology corporations, its stated mission is to maintain ethical standards in genetics so as not to repeat the horrors of the Gene Wars. The organization's charter authorizes it for public advocacy and political action as well as research and education.
